
Today was overcast. The light wasn't perfect for photography, but I tried a few close-ups anyway.


I used my 50mm f/1.4D lens for all of these shots. It lets me get in a little closer to the subject than the big zoom.

The big 70-200 zoom lens has a minimum focus distance of 1.5 m, while this lens can focus on objects much closer (perhaps 30-50 cm away).

This lens is also the fastest (brightest) in my bag. Check out the honey bee!
